Bitexco Financial Tower

The World of Heineken và Saigon Skydeck can be found near the top of the bitexco Financial Tower. The tower was the tallest building in Vietnam when it opened in 2010 but it has been beaten several times since then. Vietnam’s tallest building is currently Landmark 81 which is the 17th tallest in the world và can be seen from the Saigon Skydeck.

Somewhat surprisingly, the Saigon Skydeck is on the 49th floor of the tập đoàn bitexco Financial Tower while the World of Heineken is higher up on the 58th lớn 60th floors. The Saigon Skydeck is suitable for all ages but the World of Heineken is only for those aged over 18 since there is miễn phí beer!

The World of Heineken

Opening Times: 15:00-21:30 every day

When you arrive at the ground floor entrance, you’ll be given a ticket with a scheduled time for the World of Heineken. This will be your first activity before heading down khổng lồ the Saigon Skydeck. When you get to lớn the entrance on the higher floors, you’ll be asked for your name. This is for your souvenir Heineken bottle at the end of the tour.

Guided Beer Tour

First up, it’s a quick guided tour of the history of Heineken throughout the world & Vietnam. By ‘quick’ I mean the guide will talk so fast it may be difficult lớn keep up with the overflow of information. Or perhaps that was just our tour guide.

In all honesty, this part of the tour is reasonably interesting but not necessary. It’s also not the reason lớn buy a ticket and more a tick-box exercise to get to the good stuff. This section is over quite quickly as you walk past Heineken adverts, posters & former bottle designs.

4D VR Experience

The guided tour ends with a 4d virtual reality experience. Everyone in the group jumps on board one of the carriages và dons a VR headset. What follows is a virtual tour of the brewing method where you’re the one being brewed into Heineken.

The đoạn phim features an onscreen British man speaking in English but dubbed in Vietnamese then subtitled in English. Confusing? It’s hard to lớn slate the experience since the price of the whole World of Heineken is so cheap. However, you’d be forgiven for thinking the VR is just a bit rubbish. But again, this isn’t what you came for.

Pour Your Own

Once the guided tour section is over, you’ll be taken into a bar area & taught how to lớn pour your own Heineken properly. Everyone gets to lớn have a go và there are plenty of taps. Be quick lớn pour và drink though, you don’t get loads of time here & you’ll want lớn enjoy the beer you’ve poured before moving on.

Game Stop

Before heading into the final bar, there are a few games you can play on. This includes a little football game và some Play
Stations with racing games. If you’ve got time to lớn kill, this is a good way lớn spend a few minutes before heading into the main bar. You shouldn’t have to lớn wait too long khổng lồ have a go on any of the games since most people will want khổng lồ get to lớn the bar.

Bar With A View

Finally, you’ll get lớn the main bar and this is really what you came for. Now you can relax for as long as you like. You’ll have already been given a wristband which has tokens for two không tính phí Heinekens, water và a bowl of crisps. There’s plenty of tables to lớn stand at alongside the floor to lớn ceiling windows which overlook the city.

Take your time, enjoy your beers và snacks và relax before heading down lớn the Saigon Skydeck. After visiting both experiences, you can collect your personalised bottle of Heineken at the desk on the ground floor opposite the ticket counter. Unfortunately, if you travel with only hand luggage, you’ll need to lớn drink it before heading home given the size.

Saigon Skydeck

Opening Times: 09:30-21:30 every day

Since the World of Heineken is on the higher floors, visiting the Saigon Skydeck can seem a little unnecessary. However, the Skydeck does have 360º views of the Ho chi Minh thành phố skyline and free telescopes lớn use. There is also lots of information about the surrounding areas và the buildings you can see below you.

In all honesty, the views from the World of Heineken are better so if you’ve visited both attractions you may not feel the need to spend much time down on the Saigon Skydeck. However, it’s worth stopping by just lớn see the city from every angle.

Tips For Visiting

To get the best all-round experience, I recommend starting your visit in the late afternoon or early evening. That way, you can experience the views from the World of Heineken in the daylight then head down to the Saigon Skydeck khổng lồ see the sunset over Ho bỏ ra Minh đô thị before seeing it lit up at night.

Although both attractions are open every day, times may vary around Vietnamese holidays especially Tet which takes place around the over of January or early February. Be sure to check for any potential closures in advance.

If you want to lớn head up the tập đoàn bitexco Financial Tower but don’t want lớn pay the 250,000 VND entrance fee, you can always go to EON51. They have a restaurant, cà phê and bar on the 50th to 52nd floors which are không tính phí to enter providing you buy something there. However, these are not cheap places lớn eat or drink so you may over up paying more.

Alternatively, if you’d lượt thích to get even higher up in the đô thị you can visit Landmark 81’s observation deck. This is considerably more expensive though costing up lớn 810,000 VND per person for standard entry. And you don’t even get any beer!

If you’re travelling from south to north, you may also be interested in the Lotte Observation Deck in Hanoi. This viewing deck is on the 65th floor of the Lotte Center & has a glass-floored section.

Verdict on the World of Heineken và Saigon Skydeck

Although the guided tour around the World of Heineken feels a little dated, especially the VR experience, you’re really paying for the beers you get. Having the personalised bottle to lớn take away is a nice cảm biến as well. The additional 50,000 VND to vày both activities is well worth it.

If you are only interested in the Saigon Skydeck, paying 200,000 VND isn’t a bad price and is less than $10 USD. Given the location of the bitexco Financial Tower, it’s perfect for looking out over Vietnam’s largest city.
