Williams Admits 255 Early Decision Applicants to lớn the Class of 2027Posted in Class of 2027
Williams College announced 255 early decision applicants were admitted to lớn the Class of 2027.
A total of 943 early decision applications were received this year, resulting in an admission rate of 27 percent.

Early Decision Schools That Double Admission OddsPosted in Your College List, Early Admission, Class of 2027
Because Early Decision is a binding commitment, it only makes sense if you"re a competitive applicant, affordability isn"t an issue, and you"re absolutely certain it"s the school for you. But as the danh mục shows, there can be a meaningful advantage in applying this way if you are. For example, at Barnard College, roughly 60% of the Class of 2026 was admitted through Early Decision, & the admission rate was 29% vs. 8% for those who applied via Regular Decision. Or at Washington University in St. Louis, over 70% of the incoming class was admitted through Early Decision & the admission rate was 27% vs. 8% for those who applied via Regular Decision. These are differences too big to lớn ignore.

U.S. News và World Report Posts 2023 College RankingsPosted in Class of 2027, College Rankings
U.S. News & World Report released their 2023 college rankings earlier today. 1,500 schools were covered nationwide and evaluated on up lớn 17 measures of academic quality.
This year"s methodology adjusts for the decline in SAT/ACT thử nghiệm takers, introduces a more comprehensive measure of faculty resources and reflects changes to Carenegie Classifications made in 2021.

To get a sense for what"s happening at the macro level, we took a look at recently released Class of 2025 waitlist statistics from 120 private và public institutions. Our analysis paints the following picture:
The number of students admitted from the waitlist declined 46 percent year over year from 61,000 for the Class of 2024 lớn 33,000 for the Class of 2025On average, 15 percent of Class of 2025 students accepting a place on a waitlist were admitted, down from 32 percent in for the Class of 2024Students admitted from the waitlist accounted for 13 percent of Class of 2025 enrollments, down from 27 percent for the Class of 202461 percent of the schools sampled admitted 10 percent or less of the students accepting a place on the waitlist for the Class of 2025 (vs. 28 percent for the Class of 2024)As expected, surge in waitlist activity brought on by the pandemic khổng lồ more normal levels with the Class of 2025, as institutions worked through a surge in gap year deferrals, vaccinations kicked into gear & students were finally able khổng lồ return khổng lồ campus. We anticipate waitlist activity khổng lồ continue to lớn moderate for the Class of 2026.

Our sample of waitlist statistics from 100 private và public institutions paints the following picture:
The number of students admitted from the waitlist rose 97 percent year over year from 22,223 in 2019 to lớn 43,867 in 2020On average, 29 percent of students accepting a place on a waitlist were admitted in 2020, up from 18 percent in 201933 percent of the schools admitted 10 percent or less of the students accepting a place on the waitlist last year (vs. 48 percent in 2019)17 percent of the schools admitted 5 percent or less (vs. 29 percent in 2019)3 percent admitted no one (vs. 8 percent in 2019)These results come as no surprise given the uncertainty brought on by the pandemic last cycle. That said, we strongly caution against assuming a similar level of waitlist activity this cycle as much of this uncertainty is now behind us và most schools are resuming normal operations.
